Overview
Oil-immersed phase-shifting rectifier transformers shift phase on the high-voltage side, which basically eliminates large low-order harmonics and reduces their pollution of the grid.
Unlike an ordinary rectifier transformer, a phase-shifting winding is added; phase can be shifted on the HV or LV side in several ways, so design, manufacture and process are considerably more demanding. Units are usually used in sets to produce 18-, 24- or higher-pulse rectification.
