Fuzhou Tianyu Electric Co., Ltd.
Tianyu Electric manufactures power transformers, distribution transformers, special and renewable-energy transformers, and prefabricated substations.
Winding, core processing, assembly and transformer testing take place within the Fuzhou manufacturing base, so each unit is built and verified on one campus.
The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of XJ Group Corporation under China Electrical Equipment Group Co., Ltd.

Key milestones
A century of electrical manufacturing in Fuzhou, from a machinery works to a transformer manufacturer inside China Electrical Equipment Group.
- 1920
Fuzhou Dazhong Machinery Factory is established, later the predecessor of Fuzhou First Switchgear Factory.
- 1956
The factory becomes a public-private joint enterprise, renamed Fuzhou Fourth Machinery Factory.
- 1959
State-owned Fuzhou Electric Factory is divided into a transformer factory and a switchgear factory.
- 1995
Fuzhou First Switchgear Factory, Fuzhou Transformer Factory and Fuzhou General Electric combine as Fuzhou Tianyu Electric Group.
- 1997
Tianyu Electric is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
- 2001
XJ Group becomes the controlling shareholder of Tianyu Electric.
- 2010
Tianyu Electric joins State Grid together with XJ Group.
- 2016
Production moves from Jin'an District to the new Minhou manufacturing campus.
- 2021
Tianyu Electric joins China Electrical Equipment Group together with XJ Group.
